Sunday School On Sunday morning at 9:45am we come together for an hour for our Sunday School programs, in which we learn about God’s Word and its application to all areas of life. We have classes for every group and every age range.

Music The music we sing at Living Waters is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of the sixteenth century and we find blessing in the choruses of the twenty-first. We strongly prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, but we also have a choir as well as groups and soloists who bless us in our worship time.

Morning Worship Our service formally begins at 11:00am. During this time, we sing several songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read, and give our offerings and tithes.

Sermons Preaching at Living Waters is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last around an hour and are packed with material for reflection. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments. All preaching is driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sunday Evenings Our church family gathers to combine singing, sharing and prayer.  We come together at 6pm to lift up our praise to God in song. Once we’ve prayed together, our pastor gives a brief devotional on a biblical text. The service concludes by singing a hymn and reflecting on God’s Word.  Fellowship usually follows as members take yet another time to talk and enjoy each other’s company.

Wednesday Evening Members and visitors assemble for an inductive Bible study in which we think through a small passage of Scripture together. Held in our Auditorium at 7pm, the pastor leading the study opens it with a brief time of prayer requests. He gives a few announcements, reads the evening’s text, and prays. We then launch into our study of the Word, asking three questions of the text:

  • What does it say?

  • What does it mean?

  • What does it mean for me?

Our goal in Wednesday Night Bible Study is not simply to learn from the selected text but to learn how to study the Bible in our private devotions and apply it to our personal lives.
